Highlights Library is a digital library featuring more than 3,360 digital stories, videos, Phonics readers books and magazines. This all-encompassing learning management system helps strengthen English-language learning skills and helps children discover a love of reading.

What kind of series are there in Highlights Library?
What kind of series are there in Highlights Library?
Highlights Library consists of four main series.
1. Read with Highlights
This is a collection of stories from High Five and Highlights magazines that are Lexile leveled and vary in high-interest fiction and non-fiction topics.
2. Read with Highlights Science Collection
This collection, within Read with Highlights, helps jumpstart childrens’STEM education and varies in topics from physical to life sciences.
3. Voices Leveled Library
This series contains social-emotional learning topics that help children grow into responsible, global citizens.
4. Readers+
This series is a collection 500 titles from Read with Highlights, Read with Highlights Science Collection, and Voices Leveled Library that have speaking, listening, and thinking activities.
5. Videos & Stories Animations
There are 200 videos and story animations in Highlights Library.
6. Phonics Readers
This series is made for students who are just starting to study English through reading books. Students can learn words related to Phonics.
7. Highlights Magazines
There is a new update as a Highlights Magazine, including crafts, puzzles, and fun activities.

How is the content classified?
How is the content classified?
Content has two main categories.
First one is 'Basic Highlights Category'. It is classified into 10 categories: School, Animals, People & Places, Sports, Art & Culture, Family & Friends, Science & Nature, Community, Health & Wellness and Fun stories.
The other category is 'SDG Category'. It is classified into 14 categories: Zero hunger, Good health and well-being, Quality education, Affordable and Clean energy, Decent work and Economic growth, Industry & Innovation and Infrastructure, Reduce Inequalities, Sustainable cities and Communities, Responsible consumption and Production, Climate action, Life below water, Life on land, Peace & Justice and Strong institution, Partnerships for the goals.

What is a placement Test?
A placement test determines at what level you should begin reading. You may be prompted to take this placement test when you login for the first time. This functionality is optional, so you may not be given this placement test.

Can I read books at any level, or only books at my level?
Can I read books at any level, or only books at my level?
When you log in, Highlights Library shows books at your reading level and interest area. To browse all books, select 'Library' from the Main Menu and then browse 'books'. Some schools set a limited range of levels that are available to users.

Can I take the Level-Up Test again?
Can I take the Level-Up Test again?
Yes. Go to 'My Profile', then 'My Level'. Select a different level than your current level. Click 'Level-up Test' button. This functionality is optional, so you may not be given a Level-up Test.

How can I move up to the next level?
How can I move up to the next level?
On the home page, check the progress bar to see how many more books you need to read to level up. If you read the required number of books, you will move to the next level.
Looking for a short-cut? There are several ways you can get to the next reading level:
1. You can test into the next reading level. Go to 'My Profile' → 'My Level', click on the next reading level, and take the 'Level-up Test'.
2. You can manually change your reading level by selecting a different reading level, and choosing 'OK' to change the reading level. This functionality is optional to a school, so you may not be able to change levels yourself.

Highlights Library has its own level system based on Lexile levels and/or Reading recovery levels. Based on this, there are 30 levels.
